The Lord calls us to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God  -  Micah 6:8

St John’s with St Mary’s is a friendly Church of England community in the heart of Devizes where we seek to walk openly and honestly with others as we learn to grow in God’s love. We invite you to experience and celebrate God’s love with us through worship and fellowship.

The Parish Church of St John’s with St Mary’s, Devizes takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

St Georges flag

A new St George's flag was raised from the tower of St John's Church on Sunday morning 22 April - just a day early!  The congregation processed out of the church at the end of the morning service and stirring words from Shakespeare were read while the flag was raised. "Cry God for Harry, England and St George!"

St Georges Day

On March 4th we will be holding our annual Marriage Celebration. This will be a short half hour service followed by a glass of bubbly. We invite those couples who are to be married this year and also those who were married last year. We hope that the couples can talk freely to each other and discuss ideas. Our Organist, Chris Totney, our Flower Lady, Heather Blyth, or Parish Adminstrator, Catherine Brown will all be there along with our Rector, The Revd Canon Paul Richardson - so couples can ask any questions. Everyone is encouraged to attend and all are welcome - come along and see !
