For all who have been impressed with the state of St John’s churchyard this autumn—and who hasn’t been—the churchyard volunteers are to be thanked.
The flowers in the northern borders were particularly impressive well into October, with the asters an amazing electric blue colour.
A huge amount of bindweed has been removed from the hedge and borders over the last month or so, and some more perennials have been planted by the entrance border.
None of this would be possible without Shirley Urwin and her band of volunteers. If you’d like to be involved, please contact the Parish Office.
