Yesterday, we heard the sad news that Fr Brian Tigwell, who was Vicar of St Peter’s 1986-99 and Rural Dean of Devizes 1992-98, had died that morning. Brian lived in St John’s parish and started worshipping with us in 2021 as his declining mobility made it impossible for him to get to St Peter’s sufficiently early on a Sunday. He soon became a valued part of our congregation with his infectious smile and constant banter.
His funeral will be at St John’s on Tuesday 21 March at 11.30 a.m.
