Enriching lives through artistry and education. Sunday worship at St John’s is led by a choir of children and adults, drawing on the full breadth of the English tradition from the 16th century to the present day.
St John’s Church in Devizes has a dynamic, rich and longstanding music culture that has attracted award-winning organists, composers and conductors, who have provided a top-quality musical education - through its choral activities and organ scholarships - to young people across Wiltshire and beyond.
Singing in our choir is a wonderful way to make friends, develop your musicianship, and take part in the very heart of our worship. We warmly welcome new singers of all ages.
We rehearse weekly and sing at our regular Sunday services as well as the great festivals of the church year, with full music and support provided to help you grow as a singer.

The choir regularly sings Choral Evensongs and other services at great cathedrals and famous churches. In recent years, the choir has sung at Bristol, Chichester, Coventry, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Truro, Wells, Winchester and Worcester, and at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, as well as at Malvern Priory and Tewkesbury Abbey.
To enquire about singing with us, please contact the parish office, or follow our choir on Instagram.
