About Us

PCC

The Parochial Church Council works with the clergy to support the mission and ministry of St John with St Mary, and to care for our historic buildings.

About Us

The Parochial Church Council guides the mission, ministry and care of St John with St Mary.

Our PCC is made up of the Rector, the Revd Heidi Merrett, who as the incumbent is the chairman, Churchwardens and a number of representatives of the congregation nominated, seconded and then elected at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. It also has a voice in the forms of service used by the church as well as matters affecting the welfare and pastoral care of the parish.

Our purpose

What does the PCC do?

The PCC works with the Rector to promote within the parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It meets six times a year, is responsible for the financial affairs of the church and the care and maintenance of the church fabric and its contents.
